We just finished up in Philadelphia, and are driving through the night to New York City. The last couple of shows have been good. We haven’t been playing to that many people, but I guess that’s why they call it paying your dues. We at e at Pat’s; it’s a well know cheesesteak institution in Philly. Apparently, there is competition between Pat’s and Gino’s. Pat’s is old school and Gino’s is newer and flashy, but it true Burning Hotels fashion we kicked it old school. We are very excited to get to NYC, it is a first for Wyatt and I. We have some old Texas friends that have relocated that we are going to be staying with in Brooklyn. We have some suits coming to the two shows, so we have to make them count. The experience of traveling together as a band has been amazing. We all but heads, but for the most part we are really enjoying each other. (Knock on wood) Marley has been rereading Lonesome Dove, Matt has been reading a book about all the gamblers and gangsters that were once on Jacksboro highway in the 1940’s and 1950’s. (You don’t read books –Wyatt to Matt) Wyatt has been the DJ for the most part, enlightening us on what he refers to as his impeccable musical taste. I have been harnessing my iMovie skills for your viewing pleasure and read the newest issue of Flaunt with Mickey Rourke. Anyway, the road has been treating us well.
